United Nations Association and Master of Science degree!

During the years of nightly shows and late night rehearsals, Autumn spent her day times volunteering at a Refugee Center in Southern California and working with the United Nations Association of the United States of America. After months of helping to develop and launch the job coaching program at Voice of Refugees, and chairing several committees for the UNA, Autumn was appointed to the Board of Directors. In addition to fostering awareness and supporting the UN Global Goals through various national initiatives and programs, highlights included the organisation of several large scale events to raise awareness for prominent human rights issues and increased U.S. involvement with the UN, raising thousands for the Adopt a Future Campaign, advocating directly to politicians and dignitaries throughout California; and contributing in various capacities to the Advocacy Committee, HeForShe Campaign Committee, Internship Development Committee, the Adopt a Future campaign, and graduating from the Young Professionals Program.

Through hands on immersion with issues such as human trafficking, gender equality, educational equality, genocide awareness and prevention, sustainable energy and climate action, and forced migration, Autumn’s growing passion for human rights and international relations eventually led to her decision to pursue higher education. She relocated to London and obtained a MASTER OF SCIENCE degree from UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON (consistently ranked as one of the top ten universities in the world), with special focus on human rights, international law, international politics, philosophy of ethics, and qualitative / quantitative research methods. The degree culminated in a DISTINCTION AWARDED to her dissertation on the ‘Reconceptualisation and Mobilisation of Pacifism as a Normative Framework for the Contemporary International System to Combat Large Scale Human Rights Violations through Pre-Conflict Monitoring, De-escalation Mechanisms, and Structural Reform.’

Autumn continues to enjoy volunteering on the Executive Committee for the United Nations Association London and southeast Regional Branch and working towards her goals of international diplomacy, large scale peace work, and human rights activism; and volunteering digitally with refugee relocation and assistance back in California.
